About Dr. Mondimore

Francis M. Mondimore was born in Philadelphia, where he graduated maxima cum laude from LaSalle College (now: University.) He attended the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore and completed a psychiatric residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was chief resident.

He was the medical director of the Community Psychiatry Program of Francis Scott Key Medical Center (now: The Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center) for three years before relocating to Charlotte, North Carolina where he joined the staff of the Department of Psychiatry at the Carolinas Medical Center as associate medical director for the Billingsley Center for Mental Health. He returned to Baltimore in 1999, joining the Mood Disorders Center at Johns Hopkins.

He has been on the faculty of the University of Maryland, the University of North Carolina and is currently an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins.

Dr. Mondimore lives in Baltimore with his partner, Jay Allen Rubin. Frank and Jay enjoy sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, traveling and gardening. Frank is an enthusiastic opera aficionado and occasionally plays the piano.
